Register NOW for the New and Beginner Farmer Financial Boot Camp!
New and beginner farmers (or seasoned farmers looking for a refresh) are invited to come learn about important financial documents to be used to track finances on your farm. Rob Holcomb, and Extension Educator specializing in Ag business management will be presenting on the topic. Come learn how to break down the basics of documents, such as a balance sheet, to successfully track financials of your operation and see success. The event will take place on September 27, 2022 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Carlton County Transportation Building. There is no cost to attend this event. Wintering your Garden and Landscape
The Extension Community Connect Class is excited to be hosting a Wintering your Garden and Landscape event! Extension Educator, Mercedes Moffett will give tips on winterizing your landscape to minimize disease and pests for the upcoming garden season. SWCD Conservation Specialist, Alyssa Bloss will talk about what to leave in your yard as winter sets in to preserve pollinators for the next year. Carlton County Master Gardener, Kathy Rahkola will present information on starting a “Bee Lawn.” This event is occurring on Thursday, September 22, 2022 6-7:30 pm, Esko Town Hall, 25 E. Harney Rd. Esko. We will meet at the town hall and head out to the garden for a demo. This is a free event.

Introducing the 2022 Carlton County Master Gardeners
The Master Gardener group in Carlton County consists of 32 members and offer a wide variety of services for the community such as: Community education programs, on-site lawn and garden clinics, community and pollinator garden consultations, garden tours, questions and answer booths, plants sales, and horticulture judging at county fairs and more.
